Post Anniversary Celebration

My honey & I weren't able to celebrate our 5th year anniversary last Monday since we both have to report to work; however, we managed to reserve a one day vacation leave months before so we can have a three-day long celebration. We planned to spend our weekend in Tagaytay, unfortunately, Jon learned that one great drummer, Marco Minnemann "The Jackhammer" will hold his drum clinic here in Manila and he just can't afford to miss that one, so, as much as I long for that Tagaytay get-away, I need to play the supportive girlfriend this time.

With nothing much to do, we headed to Glorietta last Friday night and was greeted by the very heavy traffic on almost all of Makati roads which made us almost blow our top *sigh*. After almost 45 min travel time –which should only be 15-20 the most- we reached the mall. We then started looking for a gift for Frances, Tek’s daughter, who bagged the top honor in her class. Glad we found one in the Toy Section. By that time, our tummies are grumbling so, when Jon offered a sumptuous treat at North Park Noodle House, how can I refuse? The place was jam-packed and we’re fifth in the waiting line. Heck, if I’m not craving for their yang-chow and famous siomai, I wouldn’t stay in line. Anyways, after 10 min of patiently waiting, we were finally ushered to our table. We ordered our favorite yang-chow rice, boneless honey-lemon chicken, siomai, and broccoli in oyster sauce. What a scrumptious treat! Thanks again hon!

After the mouth-watering dinner, we rushed to Glorietta 4 Cinemas to catch the last full show of Max Payne starred by Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. Max Payne follows the trajectory of an old-school video game adaptation, which I’m not really familiar with, so thanks to the storyline which is only as coherent as it needs to be to get the audience, like me, from Point A to Point B.

"I don't believe in heaven. I believe in pain. I believe in fear. I believe in death." So states Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg). The movie bearing the title character's name holds true to the darkness of those words throughout. But then again, it’s just another “okay” movie for me.

Well, enough blogging for now…gotta hit the sack early as I have to attend an early worship service tomorrow.

Goodnight bloggers! See you @ blogospehere in my dreams! ^_^
